If I have to use one word to describe my Christian journey would be “Comfort”. Though I have not gone through much in life, I do face a fair share of fears and struggles in life. For me, I like to be in control or know what is going to happen next, and the fear of the unknown is disheartening. Some of these would be “Is the right major for me?”, “Am I doing well academically?” or “What is the next step in life for me?”. Knowing Christ and His love for me has helped me to put these fears into perspective. One verse in the Bible that reminds me of God’s sovereignty over my life is Isaiah 43:2. The verse goes like this: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze”. This verse brings me comfort to know that God is always with me, even in trials and tribulations. No matter the situation in my life, I will always run to the Father. #
